Google’s new family link app allow parents to monitor their children’s Android phone
Today Google has launched its new ‘ Google Family Link ‘ App that allows parents to monitor and control their children’s phone activity. Google’s Family Link allows to parents to create Google Account for their children and manage apps their kids use. Currently, this app is in the testing period. It’s available via invitations but restricted to the US market only. An official rollout is expected later this year.
If you like to use this app, then you need to have a device running on Android 4.4 KitKat and above. make sure your children have a device running Android 7.0 Nougat and above and some Android 6.0 Marshmallow supported devices. Parents can remotely lock their kid’s device when it’s time to play, study, Exam or sleep.
The Google Family Link allow parents to approve or block the apps their kids wants to download from the Google Play Store. You can also see how much time your kids spends on their favorite apps with weekly or monthly activity report, and you can also set daily screen time limits for their device.
